Concert to be Broadcast Live After All
North Korean authorities have finally relented and are allowing the New York Philharmonic concert to be broadcast live on state-run television, says the New York Times. This is wonderful news, notes Evan Revere, president of the Korea Society:
“A bunch of cultured Americans on a stage performing beautiful music in front of an audience that has been told a different story about what America is about — that’s what’s of interest…Here they have an opportunity to see another face of America.”
The concert will take place next Tuesday at 6pm Korea Time.
