North Korean Norae-Bang

One of my favorite winter traditions in (South) Korea is eating warm chestnuts and sweet potatos. Its nice to see that tradition is alive and well up north as well.  For your viewing pleasure:

The Sweet Potatoe Song!

At the free sweet potato house, a pleasant smell seizes me

They’re sweet and delicious, give me one bag of warm sweet potatos!

The chorus:

Sweet Potato. Hng Hng Hng Hng. Roasted sweet potato.
Our  blowing-on- and-eating sweet potato nation is fragrant.
Our life is delicious.
